Biosketch

Dr. del Barrio is a researcher and development/extension worker focused on the development of ruminant animals to provide research-based solutions to help the smallhold farmers and the livestock industry. He authored and co-authored more than 50 publications in both ISI and non-ISI journals. Major awards include the Academician (NAST, DOST, 2020); Scientist 1 (NAST, DOST, and CSC, 2014); PSAS Distinguished Fellow (Philippine Society of Animal Science, 2017); Outstanding Young Scientist for Ruminant Nutrition (NAST, DOST, 2000); Distinguished Alumni for Animal Nutrition and Production (Board of Directors of the College of Agriculture Alumni Association (CAAA) during the First Grand Alumni Reunion Awarding Ceremony, 2016); and 2010 Outstanding Center Director, (Philippine Carabao Center-Department of Agriculture, 2011).
