Biosketch

Dr. Turaja started her career as a young extensionist in the Philippine Carabao Center. In her 12 years in the extension works, she was greatly involved in assisting on establishing dairy family modules, extending technical services to AI technicians, Local Government Units (LGUs), and dairy farmers in the community.

With her passion in providing assistance to different stakeholders, she attended international training on rural development courses in Japan and in Thailand.

In 2015, Dr. Turaja started her Ph.D. in Animal Science Major in Animal Physiology and was a recipient of the DOST-ASTHRDP scholarship. In 2019, she was awarded by the Institute of Animal Science, UPLB as the Top Ph.D. ANSC Graduate.

She was also engaged in research works and recently published a paper entitled, “Influence and Total Antioxidant Capacity of Non-enzymatic Antioxidants on the Quality and Integrity of Extended and Cryopreserved Semen of Murrah Buffalo (Bubalus bubalis)” in 2019.

She joined the Institute of Animal Science as an Assistant Professor of Animal Production Division in July 2020.
