The training course covered the technical facets of the commercial cage-free egg production system through lecture discussions and practical sessions. It provided a good venue for the exchange of information about the best practices in cage-free egg production.
The said training also served as an avenue among scholars and practitioners to build networks for future collaborations.
The training was very timely as there is an increased adoption of cage-free production system in the poultry egg industry. With the input from the training, IAS is planning to conduct similar training for UPLB constituents, local egg producers, and other stakeholders.
