In preparation for the relaunch of the Institute of Animal Science (IAS) Website 2.0, a face face-to-face training-workshop on WordPress Editor was conducted last April 7, 2022 at the iLAB, Villegas Hall.
Participated by the IAS Website Committee, the training-workshop aims to capacitate and guide the committee members in Website Development and Management.
Mr. Alexander Balatibat, Operations Lead Officer, and Mr. Gerald Peter G. Pasayan, Project Development Associate, both from the Information Technology Center served as resource speakers.
Website development essentials including guidelines, frontend and backend concepts were discussed. Website design using Elementor was also tackled.
During the workshop, the participants were divided into groups covering the major sections of the website namely – About, Academics, Research, and Public Service. Troubleshooting and initial population of the website were facilitated applying the concepts learned from the training.
It was a fruitful training-workshop day capped off with the presentation of each group’s output as IAS targets to launch the new website by the third quarter of 2022.
