Sharing a common vision of improving the skills of students by putting their technical knowledge of agriculture, food science, agricultural biotechnology, and veterinary medicine into practice, the Institute of Animal Science, College of Agriculture and Food Science (IAS-CAFS) and the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) spearheaded the signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between UPLB and the Charoen Pokphand Foods Philippines Corporation (CPF) last November 25.
The agreement serves to develop academic and educational cooperation and promote mutual understanding between the two representing parties. Through the said agreement, the CPF will serve as the Host Training Establishment (HTE) for student interns from UPLB.
The MOA was signed by Chancellor Jose V. Camacho, Jr. and CPF Philippines Vice Chairman, Sakol Cheewakoset. This was witnessed by Dr. Adeliza A. Dorado; Dr. Jezie A. Acorda, Dean of the CVM; and Mr. Wacharapong Somthong, CPF Philippines Assistant Vice President, Human Resource Department.
Present during the MOA signing were the official representatives from CPF Philippines, namely: Supagon Khumpitoon, Lesly Ann Dela Cruz, Paula Torio, Pradit Tapan, Dr. Christine Danica Lopez, Dr. Christian De Leon, Dr. Surasak Kaewbubpa, and Dr. Jaylyn Robles.
The event was also joined by Assistant to the Chancellor Dr. Eileen Lorena M. Mamino; DVM Assistant to the Dean, Dr. Jovencio Hubert A. Abalos; Dr. Barbara L. Caoili, Dr. Rommel C. Sulabo, and Dr. Christine B. Adiova.
